In Which We Are Humbled By A Karma Hug

To say we are amazed, in awe, and flat out glowing with thankfulness for the  love and support we received for our Little Red Schoolhouse Holiday Sale is putting it mildly, peeps. We owe so many people so many thanks: Heather (Mack’s mom), for going along with our crazy plan and trusting us enough to let us take over the space. Peter, for painting, fixing, and strummin’ and pickin’ out some mighty fine tunes, much to our enjoyment . Our husbands, for moving heavy objects, installing lighting fixtures, and for watching the kids while we got to hang out at the Schoolhouse. Tony, for showing up, helping out, bringing his awesome creations, and for fending off  Todd.  Dorothy, for sharing her beautiful jewelry and stories. Jake, for totally giving us street cred and giving us the ability to claim that we had one of Greenwich’s most talented artists with us. Jim, for donating his time and energy long before the sale and good humoredly putting up with being stuck in the “man corner” once the big day came.  Gloria, for her delicious smelling soap, her killer high heels, and the Champagne. Eastbound Jesus, for getting us those much sought after cd’s. Jen, for not only spreading the word in an amazing fashion, but for bringing delicious cookies to wish us well. Our local pastor,  post offices, retired teachers, friends, family, and everyone else who spread the word, hung up posters, passed out postcards…there are so many of you we can’t even begin.  And, of course, a huge thank you to everyone who came to the sale and spent a portion of their day with us. We could not have done it without you…any of you. As Mack said, we made new friends, we got to see old ones, and we created a great big karma hug. And THAT is what life is all about.
