Your Questions Answered: Part I

We asked, and so did you. Thanks to everyone who commented, e-mailed, and stopped us on the street with questions! We put our heads together, drank a few cups of tea, and have set down the answers for posterity. Due to the overwhelming response we’ve been forced to break it up into two parts. Enjoy Part I, and be sure to tune in next week for Part II.

Q: Do you two ladies ever have disagreements about things/what direction to take your great business in? That’s one of the reasons I’ve always been afraid to work with someone-I like to be in charge of things too much, I guess!

A: Not really. We’ve been friends for so long we sort of know what we each need to make things work. On the rare occasion that there is a “situation”, we long ago found a sure-fire way to resolve things like adults: have a screaming contest, and whoever is the loudest wins. (It’s usually Kate.)

Q: Where exactly is your workshop?

A: It’s up the hill and across the road from the scummy pond in Cossayuna. If you hit the Friendly Man Store, Bunker Hill, or Lakeville Baptist Church, you’ve gone too far.

Q: What’s your favorite Meatbagz moment?

Mack: Definitely having Marcus Foster, one of my favorite musicians, sign my Meatbagz outside of a club in New York. That was amazing.

Kate: Yeah, I’d have to agree. Watching him mutter “Meatbagz” to himself and then declare it “brilliant” was pretty much priceless.

Q:Since you’ve had an item in Better Homes & Gardens, how do you deal with the paparazzi?

A: Excellent question. We never expected to pay a price this high for our fame, and after the incident when Mackenzie “accidentally” ran over a paparazzo’s foot with her car we’ve resorted to using look-a-likes and entering and exiting through back doors at all of our favorite eating establishments. For the most part the employees at Hattie’s Chicken Shack have been very accommodating.

See you all next week for Part II!
