We know, we know, right about now you’re saying to yourself (or to the dog…or cat…or computer monitor) “Wait, self, I thought EVERY day was a day of Meatbagz!?”
And you’d be right, of course.
But yesterday was especially chock full ‘o Meatbagz, at least for us. We had all of those bagz left over from the Zucchini Festival to list in the shop (and, truth be told, we still have a bunch left to do), and yesterday was the designated photographing, editing, listing, and everything else-ing day.
First, of course, there were photos. Running around like idiots trying to find spots with the right light (and yelling at every cloud to cover the sun for a bit longer, please), we once again spent some time with our favorite old beat up cars, some fun new bags, and probably innumerable ticks and snakes.
We soldiered on, however, and got some really great shots. And a new user pic. Because we liked it.It shows off our Meatbagz nicely, don’t you think?
We hurried back to Kate’s (traffic was a beast) and uploaded all of our shiny new photos.
And then the power went out.
We contemplated making mojitos and declaring it not meant to be, but dedicated Meatbagz Broads that we are, we said NO! WE MUST LIST THESE BAGZ! So instead we kicked back in the back yard, watched the kids train the dog to climb a ladder until power was restored (hooray!), and spent the rest of the afternoon getting listings up. Plus we didn’t have any rum on hand (note to self: keep rum on hand-you never know when you’re going to need it) so, you know. That kind of had a hand in things.
Here’s a note about listing: it’s not particularly easy. Getting the best, eye catching photos, quirky and yet accurate descriptions, not to mention trying to anticipate and answer any questions people might have about the bags…it takes a bit of energy. And brain space. Which we rarely have.
But we learned a valuable lesson: sometimes working on listings together isn’t the best idea. More fun, yes, but not necessarily more productive.
And a day full of Meatbagz? Not a bad day at all.
