Thursday Shout Out: Veg Out!

It’s July, peeps, and you know what that means…that garden that you’ve labored over and babied for so long is finally starting to pay you back! Get out the canning jars, have a fresh salad, and revel in the glory of fresh produce (you know it will be gone all too soon)-the real excitement of summer is here. Enjoy all these picks from Etsy sellers with the simple search “vegetables”!

“Eat Your Greens” Digital Poster by Caty99. $5. This is pretty much the best of both worlds-adorable graphic design and an affordable (and eco-friendly) delivery? Score. By allowing you have this adorable print printed in whatever way, shape, or form you choose (just download and go!)-and for only five bucks, mind you-you can make sure that it will be perfect for whatever space you put it in. And did we mention it’s five bucks? Because that’s a crazy good deal for a crazy cute poster.

Wooden Vegetable Play food by ImaginationKids. $30. Get the little ones in the veggie frame of mind early with this adorable set of wooden vegetables! Handmade (of course) and finished with non-toxic paints, this is the perfect introduction for the younger set to the awesomeness of the vegetable.

Farm Alphabet Refrigerator Magnets by artatgardencorner. $50. What better way to not only introduce some color into your kitchen but to celebrate summer all year ’round than with this set of 26 magnets? Spell out messages, make grocery lists, or just enjoy the amazing hand cut prints every time you open the fridge door-either way, you’ll be smiling like you just bit into a fresh-off-the-vine tomato in no time.

Hand Printed Reusable Produce or Bulk Food Bags, Set of 2 by thehighfiberco. $10. Sadly, even the most prolific garden gives up the ghost eventually. The good news is you can still head to the local farmer’s market or co-op with a peaceful mind when you have these unbleached cotton produce bags with you. Enough with the wasteful plastic bags-let real food be treated like it should be: in an earth friendly (and still totally rockin’) way.
