While we’ve been really busy getting ready for The Strolling of the Heifers (it’s this weekend-come see us!) , we’ve also been really enjoying the schoolhouse.
We’ve been enjoying the mid morning tea breaks on the front steps,
and, of course, the incredibly necessary (and totally hilarious) photo ops that we spend stupid amounts of time setting up. (This one involved dragging a chair from the kitchen out into the driveway, balancing it on some stacked rocks, and using Kate’s sweater to block the sun from over exposing the shot.)
But it’s not all happiness, unfortunately, because we’ve also figured out the downside to working at the schoolhouse, especially while work is still being done downstairs.
And it’s horrible.
Really, really horrible.
Because sometimes when we’re taking pics to update the Etsy shop,
sometimes this happens.
That’s Peter. He’s the painter. He’s also family. And we love him.
But that being said, he better tread carefully, because we take our work really seriously, and we so can’t afford to waste any time re-shooting product pics. This literally took .005 seconds out of our day, and probably 3 minutes more because we were laughing too hard at him to carry on.
And be honest, we need all the time we have to take non-business related pics of ourselves enjoying the schoolhouse.
