Thursday Shout Out: Sweet!

You know what? This is the year that we declare that we are worthy of more than the left over, stale jelly beans, the half melted chocolate rejects, and the half gnawed candies of questionable origin. The kiddies may be getting lots of treats this Sunday, but we say that we deserve some too…so clear out a space in the highest cabinet and order up some of these delicious handmade sweets for yourself.

Easter Dozen Chocolate Covered Pretzels by WhitewashSundries. $38.95. These pretzels almost look too good to eat…almost. Perfect for giving (or keeping for yourself), these are sure to be spoken of with dreamy reverence for years to come. Oh, the color, oh, the texture, oh, the chocolatey, pretzely goodness! Top that off with the beautiful wrapping and they’ll impress anyone-even if it’s just you.

Lemon Cookies-3D Lemon Shaped Cookies by TickleMyTummy. $15 for 8. Not a candy person? We understand. Right now we’re dreaming of a hot pot of tea, a sunny window with white cotton curtains, and a plate of these cookies in front of us. Perfect for tea time, snack time, or any time, these couldn’t sound much more delish: filled with a lemon creme and covered in a sweet yet tart lemon sugar, these cookies won’t last long.

15 pc Spring Truffle Sampler by CalabasasCandyCo.  $24. Marachino cherry, dark chocolate coconut cream, blueberry white chocolate, milk chocolate pecan, banana’s foster with banana cream and caramel…drooling yet? We sure are. There’s something for everyone in this collection, and frankly, we’d be willing to make the sacrifice and try them all. You know, for the good of mankind. We’d do that. For you. So if you order them, let us k now-we’ll be right over.

Mini Sticky Chickies PEEP PEEP by miniMEbakery. $4.50. Okay, here’s our confession: the marshmallow Peeps rarely make it into the Easter baskets around here, but this year they just might because these mini sticky chickies look AMAZING. Handmade out of Madagascar Vanilla marshmallow, the kids can keep the Peeps…we’ll be snacking on these.
