Our Special Edition Grace Peace Bag

My sister Grace drove me nuts as only a little sister could. She stole my clothes and transformed them into new fashionable outfits for herself, she convinced our little brother that a penny wasn’t enough money for him to go get me drinks while I layed on the couch and watched TV. She didn’t share her fabulous donut/pastry thing with me in France and then raved about it for years afterward.

But we grew up. And even though we were only given a little bit of time to actually enjoy each other it was enough for me to see (and appreciate) the fabulous person she was. There are many images that would have worked to honor her on a bag (a deranged mermaid being one of them..) but the peace dove sums her up in the best way. Peace was something she was always looking for, in herself, her loved ones and the world.

And I am sure with every part of my being that she would have HAD to have one of these fashionable, unique and utterly fabulous bagz. So let us all carry one proudly to support the education of a beautiful growing spirit and while doing so bring a little peace and joy to each others lives.

Thanks so very much…. Mackenzie

“The Greenwich Central School class of 2001 has started a scholarship fund in honor of their classmate Grace Griffis, who passed away tragically in a car accident in 2005. Grace was a kind and gentle free spirit who had a great love of animals, reading, and the natural world. She was also a talented musician and artist who participated in school plays, musicals and art shows. In honor of Grace, the GCS class of 2001 will be presenting a scholarship to a graduating senior with similar artistic interests as well as a strong background in community service. We thank you in advance for your support of this fund!”

We will donate $25 from every sale to the scholarship fund!
