Thursday Shout Out: Warm Whites

The whites of winter have piled up outside our door and are working their way into our lives, whether we want them to or not. Instead of fighting it, we’ve decided that we might as well embrace it, and some of these Etsy finds will help us see the warmth in the whites (instead of just the inevitable shoveling).

handprinted rustic hessian hare cushion with applique custom detailing by helkatdesign. $68. We don’t care if you live in a modern loft, a rustic cabin, a beach cottage, or the basement of your mom’s house, this pillow will transcend and fit in no matter where you put it. The beautiful texture of the fabric, the fluid motion of the lines, and the softness of the color make this more than a pillow-it’s a work of art.

becoming queen by badbird. $20.  This little queenie reminds us of, well, us! She’s got attitude, she’s got braids, and look out, because you know she’s up to something. Perfect for inspiring your favorite little mischief maker or to keep around as a reminder to let the little girl inside you out every once in awhile, this print is just flat out awesome.

VintaGe MixinG Bowl by unExpected ParTie. $65.  To say this stoneware bowl would make us happy to spend time in the kitchen would be an understatement. Whether it sits on your table holding bright red apples or it becomes your go-to biscuit bowl, you can’t get much cooler than this. Complete with the imprint of a Native American (in full headdress, of course) and an eagle with stars and stripes, we doubt you’ll find another bowl like this any time soon.

Vintage Book Pages Repurposed Party Garland by VintageMarketPlace. $15.  Whether you’re planning a party or just need a little glow to make you forget the dark, dreariness of winter, this garland will light up your life. Made of re-purposed vintage book pages, it will add a bit of light and texture to even the simplest corner (which, we feel confident in saying, will then become your favorite corner). And did we mention that it’s on sale? Because it is…and at this price, why not get two?
