Deep Breath-This Takes Courage to Write.

In this post holiday season, we’ve come to learn a very important lesson:

In on-line selling, sometimes it’s not about the sales.

Wait! WAIT! Before you declare us legally insane (oh, too late?) hear us out-we love the sales! We do! (Please don’t stop buying bags from us, please, please, please don’t stop!) And obviously we can’t survive without them. But now that the holidays are over, we are no longer dealing with that deliciously exhausting burst of business (and we have a feeling we’re not alone). So now what?

Well, we’ve discovered the answer to that question: Now this. And now that. And now everything else.

Now is the time to focus on more than just keeping our heads above water and actually learning to swim. And we shall not content ourselves with just the doggy paddle, folks, we’re talking Look-Out-Micheal-Phelps-Because-We’re-Hot-On-Your-Tail level of swimming.

We will use this relative peace and quiet to expand the Meatbagz Empire*. (*totally not an Empire, by the way. Not even a hamlet, really. Which is why we need to work on expanding.) We will use this time to work on new designs, improve our on-line presence, we will try new bags and see what works and what doesn’t. We will get that workspace put together and make it awesome, and, perhaps most importantly, by doing all of this we will not let the now post-holiday cash strapped public forget that we exist.

So despite the fact that our local post office may be breathing a big sigh of relief that they don’t have to see our mugs every day, the rest of the world won’t get off so easy. Because we’re Meatbagz, baby, and we’re not going to spend our “down” time treading water.

  1. I’m also using this period of “silence” to re-visit some (actually several) areas in my shop. Just finished improving my policies. Next, I’m off to re-do a lot of photos, titles, tags, and so on. And my personal blog, ahhh, I’m almost ready to present it’s “re-birth”~I’m have to pace myself, because I have the tendency to want everything done in a day! Which usually results in no sleep and I forget to eat. Hello, God used (7) days, so I’m not rushing things.

Good luck ladies with your time and use it wisely, because before we know it, the holidays will be around the corner!

  2. Ah, yes, the never ending list of self improvement! We too need to revisit pretty much EVERYTHING you listed…but like you said, all in good time. Best of luck with the new site as well-be sure to let us know where to find it-we’d love to check it out!

  4. Ladies, may I suggest that you fortify yourselves with some baked goods? Devin and I are currently making his sick day from school all better with sweet potato muffins and cherry barley scones. Mmmmm….
