Okay, so maybe this post title is a bit misleading because we don’t know these lovely ladies personally, but we do know this-they are awesome. You see, contrary to popular opinion, Meatbagz isn’t just about bagz, it’s about a whole lot more. It’s about the labels we put on bagz. It’s about tags. And it’s about karma.
When Meatbagz started to take off (relatively speaking, of course), we made the decision that we wanted, as much as possible, to buy our packaging and supplies from fellow etsians. Not only did this mean our transactions were easy-paypal to paypal- it also meant we were getting awesome products from awesome people. And we firmly believe that spending our hard earned Meatbagz money supporting other independently minded artists will result in good karma all around.
One of the first sellers to make it onto our “must have” list was JennifersJewels. She not only prints the absolutely awesome labels that adorn all the Meatbagz that get shipped out, she’s also a proud owner of some of the original Meatbagz totes! (See? I told you there was karma involved.) She’s sold a gazillion labels* (*approximate number) so you know she knows her stuff-and we can say from experience that she’s an awesome, awesome person to work with.
We just recently discovered one of our new favorite suppliers: scrapbits. She totally rocks. We’d been looking for simple kraft tags to add to bags-sounds easy enough, right? You’d be surprised. But lo and behold, we came across scrapbits shop and she had exactly what we were looking for-and a lot more awesomeness to boot. The tags are not only perfect, but scrapbits was kind enough to give us a bit of a shout out by using our tags for some of her listings!
See? Etsy karma is everywhere!
These two sellers are obviously the very tip of the iceberg, as far as handy supply shops go on etsy, but we know one thing-Meatbagz wouldn’t be Meatbagz without their awesome products. Please stop by and check out their shops…and if you find that you absolutely have to buy something, tell ’em Meatbagz sent ya!
(Oh, and please note, the final tag photo is property of Scrapbits. She took a much better pic than I did.)
